Jackson Academy is pleased to announce the first quarter Honor Roll and Academy Honor Roll for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Congratulations to the Jackson Academy Lady Raiders volleyball team for winning the MAIS Overall Volleyball Championship. It is the team’s seventh state title since the program began at JA in the 2011-12 school year.
In July, Jackson Academy Performing Arts’ students arrived for the first rehearsal of Broadway’s adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella wearing T-shirts and shorts. This week, they’ll don lustrous costumes and elaborately coif their hair, accessorizing with hats and gloves before stepping onto a stage set for magic to unfold.
Students at Jackson Academy have options for accessing college-level courses while in high school. They can select from Advanced Placement (AP) courses or dual enrollment courses.
Congratulations to the Lady Raider Soccer Team for winning the MAIS Division I girls’ soccer championship! With their 1-0 win over Jackson Prep Monday afternoon, the Lady Raiders secured the team’s fifth state title in school history.

Jackson Academy has been asked to partner with The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Project Adam to become a heart safe school. Project Adam is a UMMC supported project that promotes heart safety in schools, and Jackson Academy is the second school in the state of Mississippi to begin the certification process!
Endeavors students pursue in high school and college can lead to opportunities they cannot foresee, said Brad Edwards ’89. That’s how he sees his career trajectory. Edwards visited Jackson Academy’s broadcasting class Wednesday while on tour for his recently released book, “Dynasty by the Numbers,” a historical perspective of the University of Alabama’s 13-year dominance in collegiate football.
Dressed in a shimmering gold jacket and gold top hat, KD Davis stood tall among his bandmates as they lined up to lead the campus in a spirit walk-through heading into Jackson Academy’s game with Pillow Academy on Friday.
