Nestled in the Sheffield Drive neighborhood of northeast Jackson, Mississippi, Jackson Academy stands as an independent college preparatory day school catering to students from K2 through twelfth grade. Providing a blend of traditional academic courses and diverse opportunities in fine arts, athletics, and extracurricular activities, JA is recognized as an Apple One-to-One school. Situated on a 38-acre campus, it is lauded as one of the most exceptional school environments by the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools.

With over 200 dedicated faculty and staff, JA serves a student body of 1,200, boasting an average staff tenure of nine years. Impressively, more than 40% of our teaching faculty hold advanced degrees in their respective fields. The Clarion Ledger‘s Best of Mississippi poll has repeatedly named JA the “Best Place to Work” and our faculty members have been honored as the “Best Teacher” on multiple occasions.
