JA conducted graduation ceremonies in the Brickyard for the third year in a row, a new and favored tradition introduced during the pandemic. At 7 p.m., the ceremony opened with Faculty Member Chris Tucker carrying the school banner onto the field for the very last time. Administrators, faculty members, and seniors followed, processing from the west end of the field to the east before taking their seats.

William Trevor “Trey” Carroll ’09 traveled a circuitous route to settle on his career. Along this path, he experienced a surprising health challenge that diverted his course but helped him choose his life’s work. He now helps individuals find a more direct way to a satisfying occupation.
Athletic Signees and Gatorade Players of the Year Honored
Monday, May 9, was another very special day on the campus of Jackson Academy for the Class of 2022. Four more seniors, who will be continuing their academic and athletic careers next year, and two Gatorade Players of The Year were honored at a ceremony in the Performing Arts Center.

Jackson Academy to Name Basketball Court in Honor of Jan Sojourner

‘Dear William’ Author Speaks to Students and Parents
Bestselling author David Magee began his message with sobering statistics and ended it with hope. Approximately 400 Upper School students and 100 parents listened to Magee’s life experiences and those of his son, Hudson, at the JA PAC last week.
Senior Chapel
For Senior Chapel each spring, the graduating students don their caps and gowns for the first time and, holding their Alpha and Omega friends by the hand, parade into their final chapel service. There’s nothing quite like the Alpha and Omega program.
