It was a historic week for JA basketball as both the Raiders and Lady Raiders advanced to the Final Four of the MAIS Overall Basketball Tournament at Mississippi College, bringing plenty of Raider pride to Clinton.
Famous Americans Day at Jackson Academy brings history to life in the most imaginative way possible. On Monday, February 23, students transformed into historical figures, donning carefully prepared costumes to honor the Americans who shaped our nation.
Grandparents didn’t mind returning to school one bit—as long as they got to sit near their grandchildren in class. More than 200 grandparents, relatives, and special friends attended First Grade Grandparents Day on Friday, rotating through a full day of learning experiences alongside JA’s young Raiders.
Fifty young baseball hopefuls eagerly took turns at the plate at Jackson Academy’s Raider Park. The second through seventh graders were part of a program called Hitting with the Raiders that newly-named Varsity Head Baseball Coach Parker Harris and his coaching staff instituted this year.
Crisp air added the perfect “football weather” to a festive Jackson Academy homecoming. The weekend was made special by homecoming court royalty, an anniversary recognition, returning alumni, and a win for the Raiders.
New tuition exchange and scholarship agreements between Jackson Academy and three area colleges and universities will provide Jackson Academy students and full-time faculty and staff dependents more affordable access to independent higher education.
