Daniel Kennedy and Grace Golden were named Mr. and Miss Jackson Academy at the annual Features Pageant. Students were also recognized for being elected class favorites, beauties and beaux, and other special awards for seniors. The families met in the Activities Building and enjoyed lunch. During the morning, students participated in some old fashioned style of relay events including wheelbarrow and potato sack races.
Celebrating the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel is a favorite event for Kindergarten students. They enjoy a parade through the preschool dressed in clothes styled after characters from the Dr. Seuss books. Click here to view more photos!

From “Betsy Ross” appearing in the library to making props for the parade, there were all kinds of activities surrounding the annual Patriotic Day parade and assembly. Inspirational speaker Dwight Owens told the story of his recovery from being horrifically injured by a drunk driver to our middle and upper school students. Each student reads about a famous person, then dresses in an outfit depicting their subject. They parade throughout the Lower School so the other students can join in on the fun.
[slideshow_deploy id=’6801′] Sixth grade students enjoyed a Mexican Fiesta Day where they experienced a taste of Mexican culture. The students made colorful paper flowers, ate chips and salsa, and did the Mexican hat dance. This was a fun way to reinforce some of the things they are studying in Social Studies.
