Jackson Academy has been asked to partner with The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Project Adam to become a heart safe school. Project Adam is a UMMC supported project that promotes heart safety in schools, and Jackson Academy is the second school in the state of Mississippi to begin the certification process!
Endeavors students pursue in high school and college can lead to opportunities they cannot foresee, said Brad Edwards ’89. That’s how he sees his career trajectory. Edwards visited Jackson Academy’s broadcasting class Wednesday while on tour for his recently released book, “Dynasty by the Numbers,” a historical perspective of the University of Alabama’s 13-year dominance in collegiate football.

Four Jackson Academy seniors earned recognition from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation last week. Members of the Class of 2022 Abby Arnett, Gibson Cheney, Regan Felder, and Sandon Guild placed among the top scorers in the nation on the 2020 Preliminary SAT, also referred to as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
