The Jackson Academy cross country team had its first meet of the new school year on August 21 at the Park Place Invitational in Neely Farms in Magee. Congratulations to everyone who ran yesterday. Placings at yesterday’s cross country meet include the following:

“We are excited about the season getting started!” said Assistant Coach Ashley Googe. “A lot of the athletes have been working hard all summer doing morning runs keeping in shape! That is huge for the team, and can make a difference in meets.” Cross Country has two new coaches this season, Head Coach Shelby Dean and Assistant Coach Ashley Googe ‘11.
