

Jackson Academy has named seniors Sophie Henderson and Aniya Bradley valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2025. Both students will address the audience at graduation ceremonies to be held on Thursday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Brickyard, the outdoor sports stadium on JA’s campus. The weather site is Christ United Jackson on 6000 Old Canton Road.
Sophie will present the valedictory speech to her fellow students and families. She is a STAR Student, AP Scholar, 2025 United States Presidential Scholars Program Candidate, member of the National Honor Society, and was inducted into the national math, Spanish, history, science, and English honoraries. She was inducted into the prestigious Cum Laude Society in her junior year. Outside of school, Sophie is a private pilot. She plans to attend New York University.
Aniya, also inducted into the Cum Laude Society in her junior year, will address the audience as salutatorian. An AP Scholar, she has accepted a scholarship to Spelman College. Outside of JA, she is part of her church’s youth ministry, youth choir, and praise dance ministry. She is a member of the National Honor Society as well as the national science, social studies, English, math, and Latin subject area honoraries.
