According to the Gitnux.com report, “The Most Surprising High School Extracurricular Activities Statistics and Trends in 2023,” students involved in extracurricular activities have a 19 percent higher GPA compared to non-participating students. Sixty-four percent of high school students who participated in extracurricular activities feel more connected to their school community, and 45 percent involved in extracurricular activities have higher levels of self-esteem, the report says. Upper School hosts a Club Fair each year to provide students the opportunity to get involved in student groups. Connection beyond the classroom is important for high school students and teachers. There are 13 different clubs offered, and they vary from year to year depending on student interest and faculty sponsorship. New this year is Pickleball Club and Mythology Club.
