The first grade had its annual Grinch Day Monday. The young students, dressed in their best Grinch and Christmas outfits,. started the day off with coloring and writing on a heart “What is love to you?”
Then, the students searched for the Grinch on campus. They were ecstatic to spot the Grinch from across the Raider football field. They rushed to the Grinch’s side to give him their compassionate hearts. The Grinch’s heart grew three sizes larger that day, thanks to our kind and giving first graders. Our JA students filled the Grinch’s bucket with love and convinced the Grinch that a big heart is a good heart.
Our JA hearts are the magic of this Christmas. First graders gave the Grinch a piece of their heart and wrote what love is. Each student wrote how hugs, vacations, and dancing can help your heart grow.
