AP Art students are currently working on their portfolios. JA Art Instructor Susan Ingram invited the instructor and AP Art students from Prep to join JA students Wednesday, January 10, in the Learning Commons for a portfolio “Show & Tell.” In a collaborative session, students presented and critiqued portfolios and enjoyed pizza for lunch. Ingram said the AP art students did an excellent job representing their work and the JA Art Department.

SGA Raises Funds for Clean Up Jackson
Jackson Academy students experienced a refreshing treat in the JA Amphitheatre last week. The Student Government Association sponsored an outdoor Soda Shop with proceeds going to support Clean Up Jackson, a local organization committed to keeping the city of Jackson clean.

Santa’s Favorite Elves Return
Over the next few weeks, JA's talented theatre students will partner with enthusiastic second and third graders to create something magical for the upcoming "Christmas With the Arts" event on December 9.
