Football Buddies is another JA tradition, but this year, teachers and coaches enhanced the program to include more opportunities for buddies to connect. The Raiders visited their first grade buddies in their classrooms for the first time.
Buddies completed word searches together, enjoyed a football-shaped snack, and more. Raiders also chatted about their excitement for the game against Jackson Prep. First-grade buddies attended the varsity pep rally Friday and sat with the football players. Then, Friday night they joined their football buddy on the field for the prayer and national anthem.
Throughout the year, these relationships will continue to grow stronger and stronger to create lasting memories for the older and the younger students.
