Several Jackson Academy student-athletes achieved remarkable recognition and personal milestones over the winter break, with Raiders earning invitations to prestigious national all-star games and others making school history on the basketball court.

Junior offensive lineman Caden Moss participated in the Under Armour Next All-America Game on January 3 in Florida, which was streamed live on ESPN’s YouTube channel. The Under Armour All-America Game has been produced since 2008, giving an early glimpse of some of college football’s next stars, featuring the best high school players in the country. Moss has also been invited to compete in the Polynesian Bowl in Hawaii on January 16, which will be televised on the NFL Network. The Polynesian Bowl is a premier all-star game played annually in Honolulu, Hawaii that features 100 of the nation’s top ranked high school seniors.

Senior linebacker TJ White will represent Jackson Academy in the Navy All-American Bowl this Saturday, January 10, at 12:30 p.m. in San Antonio, Texas. The game will be televised on NBC. The Navy All-American Bowl is a national high school football all-star game, held annually at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. White’s invitation places him among the elite senior football players in the nation.

On the basketball court, Raiders reached significant milestones. Senior Marcus Goodloe and junior Ella King both surpassed 1,000 career points, joining an exclusive group in Jackson Academy basketball history. King also made history in another way, becoming the first girls basketball player at JA to record a triple-double. A triple-double is achieved when a player has double-digit stats (at least 10) in any three of these five major statistical categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. King’s stat line of 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists showcased her versatility and impact on both ends of the court. The achievement demonstrates her ability to score, facilitate for teammates, and dominate the boards in a single game.

These accomplishments reflect the dedication and talent of Jackson Academy’s student-athletes. From national all-star game invitations to record-breaking performances, Raiders continue to excel at the highest levels of competition both on the field and on the court.
