When Angie Antici manages the school budget, its contracts, or equipment purchases, she remembers that student success is the real bottom line. As JA’s new director of finance and operations, Angie makes this connection easily.

“I do everything from working with our dining vendor and making sure our teachers and students have desks to making sure that our dollars are taken care of wisely. In all of my diverse tasks, I always ask myself how what I am doing will affect our students. My goal is to always have the best interest of our students at heart,” she said.

Angie, who has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Millsaps College, is a certified public accountant. She previously worked at KPMG as a tax accountant, C Spire as controller of technical operations, and Grantham Poole CPAs as a tax accountant.

She enjoys the variety and meaning that her job at JA allows. “My favorite thing about my position is that no two days are the same,” she said. “Every day is different, and everything that I do is aimed at benefiting our students in some way. That is very fun and fulfilling to me.”

As a staff member and a JA parent, Angie appreciates being part of a community that delivers a great education and aligns with her personal values. “I value the well-rounded education and family experience that Jackson Academy provides to all of its students and families. Not only does JA have the academic curriculum that I think is top notch, but it provides the spiritual encouragement and environment that I want for my family,” she explained. “And, it provides wonderful opportunities in athletics and the arts with all sorts of extracurricular activities. Jackson Academy falls right in line with the values and standards by which I want my own children to be educated.”

When not managing financial matters, Angie can be seen cheering for sons Drew and Thomas at JA sporting events, singing in her church choir, running, or spending time with family and friends. When time allows, she enjoys a good book, even one that involves numbers.
