Engineering or dance? Dalton Gibson ‘16 wondered, why not both? JA students and alumni are known for doing many things well. Gibson exemplifies that ability.
After studying mechanical engineering at SMU, he moved to Los Angeles in 2022 to pursue his career, not just as an engineer, but also as a dancer. While working for a firm that handled large construction jobs, he also auditioned for roles and signed with a talent agency. Gibson is now a Disney Imagineer and was recently a background dancer in Andy Grammer’s music video, “I Do.”
