Established to recognize scholastic achievement in secondary schools, the Cum Laude Society has granted charters to only four schools in Mississippi. The Jackson Academy chapter recently selected these new members: Conley Chinn, Grace Cartwright, Will Laird, Braden Lewis, Dolph Maxwell, Travis Rogers, Caroline Watson, Milla McCormack, Anna Douglas Almand, Elizabeth Scott, Livvie Strickland, Emma Ward, Lacey Irby, and Avery Anderson. Inducted as juniors last year were Nancy Usey, Lizzie Bowman, Sahil Patel, and Alexander Schott.

SGA Raises Funds for Clean Up Jackson
Jackson Academy students experienced a refreshing treat in the JA Amphitheatre last week. The Student Government Association sponsored an outdoor Soda Shop with proceeds going to support Clean Up Jackson, a local organization committed to keeping the city of Jackson clean.

On Veterans Day, the entire Jackson Academy community, including students, faculty, and parents, found many ways to show appreciation for those who have served our country and are currently serving. Activities included performances, parades, and classroom activities, demonstrating JA's collective respect for our veterans.
Santa’s Favorite Elves Return
Over the next few weeks, JA's talented theatre students will partner with enthusiastic second and third graders to create something magical for the upcoming "Christmas With the Arts" event on December 9.
