Tennis Captures Eighth Straight Championship

Last week, the Jackson Academy girls tennis team earned the MAIS Championship for the eighth season in a row. The JA boys team received runner-up honors. Way to go, Raiders!

Individual Championship Winners:

  • Boys No.1 Doubles- Drake Lester and Sam Chustz
  • Girls No.1 Doubles- Ellie Hogue and Lucy Lee
  • Girls No.1 Singles- Emily Buchanan
  • Boys No. 2 Doubles- Jeffery Gao and Willis Thigpen

Volleyball Program Nurtures Outstanding Scholar-Athletes

Members of the varsity and JA volleyball teams completed another year developing athletically, and academically, completing the season ranked at the top of their sport. The JV team finished as MAIS JV State Champions with a 29-1-1 record. The varsity team finished with a 30-16 season, 9-3 in conference play, and as MAIS Division 1 State Runner-Ups.
