Jackson Academy students in tenth through twelfth grade attended the Jackson Area Independent Schools College Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum on Lakeland Drive.
Twelve area independent schools combined resources for the event, giving students access to a wide range of college representatives in a single visit. JA students checked in with counselors at 10 a.m. and spent the hour meeting with admissions representatives from schools across the country. Ahead of the visit, counselors gave students a list of suggested questions to ask at multiple tables, helping them compare programs and gather information to support their college search.
Parents could attend the fair and are also invited to a financial aid panel at the museum Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
