Senior Week Brings Graduation Closer

May 2, 2023 / Upper School/All News

The Class of 2023 enjoyed a highly-anticipated senior week. Seniors had a theme each day with various treats, creating new memories to share with their classmates. Monday, seniors gathered on the red carpet at the Met Gala in the PAC. Students enjoyed an extravagant occasion while being photographed by the paparazzi. Tuesday offered a senior picnic and outdoor field day. Seniors met at Raider Park for a series of games. They enjoyed fun in the sun while competing.

A New Orleans-themed event took place Wednesday outside the PAC with beignets, covered with powdered sugar, and green and purple tea. JA’s band played New Orleans jazz throughout the luncheon. On Thursday, the theme was Austin City Limits/music festival. Tents and tapestries adorned the PAC lobby to portray a festival vibe. Seniors visited each tent, picking up nachos, funnel cake fries, snow cones, and sodas.

Friday’s theme was Malibu Barbie with special guests Barbie and Ken. Students enjoyed burgers and ice cream cones as they celebrated their last special senior lunch together.

The 2022-23 year held many moments that offered senior leaders the opportunity to make a long-lasting impact. From Alpha and Omega gatherings to high fives in the hallways, these seniors have been great role models for younger Raiders. But the seniors are not done just yet; they have a few more events:

  • May 9: Seniors Field Day & Last Chapel
  • May 12: Seniors Last Day of Class
  • May 18: Graduation
