Ninth grade departed to TimberCreek Camp for the first SOAR Ninth Grade Class Day. The event included activities that challenged students’ communication and teamwork skills. Also, TimberCreek’s facility has a full-scale replica of challenges seen on the TV show, “Survivor.”
“These activities are the type of events where you can’t really rely on muscle or athletic ability,” said SOAR Director Dean Arnold. “These games can only be achieved by using everyone and communication. It was awesome to see the maturity that these former middle schoolers gained over a quick summer break.”
The next SOAR trip is Tenth Grade Class Day, which is scheduled for Wednesday, August 30.
