November 5, Mission Mississippi Breakfast on JA campus, 6:45 a.m. PAC Gallery, all invited

As most are getting up and ready for work on November 5, Jackson city leaders will be discussing some difficult topics. That has been Mission Mississippi’s goal since its inception. It uses faith to start frank discussions about race, Jesus Christ, and community. Started in the early 1990s with a simple breakfast meeting, Mission Mississippi has grown into a statewide organization focusing on breaking down the walls of racism and segregation through the word of God. Through the years, Mission Mississippi has extended its reach all over the state, working to foster individual, lasting relationships.

The JA community is invited to a prayer breakfast November 5, from 6:45-7:45 a.m. held by Mission Mississippi in the Performing Arts Center. This is one of their frequent Tuesday prayer breakfasts held throughout the state and Jackson area. For more information about this organization, www.missionmississippi.net offers an in-depth look at the progress that Mission Mississippi has made since that first breakfast meeting twenty years ago.
