Congratulations to the Lady Raider Soccer Team for winning the MAIS Division I girls’ soccer championship! With their 1-0 win over Jackson Prep Monday afternoon, the Lady Raiders secured the team’s fifth state title in school history. Good luck to seniors Lani Roberts and Jordan Bertschler as they play in the MAIS All Star game at 3:00 p.m. today at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland.

Retired Preschool Faculty Wowed by Campus Changes
Twelve retired Preschool teachers, who affectionately call themselves the “Out to Pasture” group, gathered at JA on Friday. They enjoyed a fun day of reminiscing about their time at JA and were excited about the many changes that had occurred since their retirement.
Faculty and Staff Meet for Professional Development
While students were off campus September 3, Jackson Academy faculty and staff participated in professional development and strategic planning. In the opening session, Scott Barron, chief reinvention officer and founder of The School Growth Company, delivered a motivational speech about the influence of an educator in the life of a young person. He said the No. 1 factor that makes the biggest impact is the “living curriculum” - both faculty and staff - that students encounter.
