The JA JV Lady Raider Volleyball team took on 5 different teams in the St. Georges Tournament in Memphis, TN over the weekend. The Lady Raiders went a combined 3-0-2 with wins over Hutchinson, Brighton and host St. Georges all with 2-0 scores. The two ties came against Blackman and Tipton-Rosemark with 1-1 scores. The JV team is now 8-0-2 on the season.

Tenth through twelfth grade students were inducted into the National Honor Society and seventh through ninth grade students were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society this past week, highlighting their scholarship, character, leadership, and service. The National Honor Society started in 1921 as a way to cultivate these qualities in students. Inductees are expected to maintain the characteristics throughout their high school years. In 1929, the National Honor Society expanded into middle school grades, offering it as the National Junior Honor Society.
