

Twenty five Jackson Academy seniors received scholarship recognition in April during an event honoring students who will attend The University of Mississippi in the fall. Associate Director of Admissions for Mississippi Recruitment Megan Thomas presented scholarships, including the university’s most prestigious award, the Robert M. Carrier Scholarship, awarded to Willis Thigpen.

The family of Walker Fielder presented on behalf of the Ole Miss Foundation the Walker Fielder Scholarship to Belle Shoemaker. Each year, the Fielder family has been at JA to present the scholarship to a JA student who plans to attend the University of Mississippi. The scholarship is in memory of their son, Walker Fielder ‘20, who was a JA alum and a student at Ole Miss.
