Monday morning, Jackson Academy families awoke to snow on the ground and enjoyed the day off from school to play in the snow. The school’s administration announced Sunday that school would be closed Monday as a winter storm blanketed parts of Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, and, most importantly, Mississippi, in snow. Raiders returned to school today as the sunshine melted remnants of yesterday’s snow off of buildings and cars. JA families were invited to share their snow day photos using the school hashtag #WeAreJA to be entered in a drawing for gift cards to the school coffee shop. Congratulations to the Koonce and Conwill families, winners of $25 Common Grounds gift certificates! Thank you to those who participated. We’re so glad that everyone had a wonderful day in the snow!
