Students engage in a lot of hands-on learning during Famous Americans Day. They prepare costumes, participate in a parade, and ultimately showcase their famous characters in a wax museum-style activity. This special day at Jackson Academy brings the lives of well-known Americans to the forefront of students' imaginations. Through this experience, students learn about the contributions of these figures to the country. Stories of brilliance, courage, honor, work ethic, athletic and artistic abilities, and other admirable traits inspire students to reach for the stars.
