The week that included Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras was so SWEET! Ambassadors and math honor society students welcomed younger students during morning carpool on Mardi Gras and Valentine’s Day with festive music, decorations, and costumes.
Preschoolers’ bright minds were hard at work as they counted colorful SweetTart hearts during a Valentine’s Day arithmetic lesson. In the meantime, ninth graders put a romantic touch to their school day by eating some Valentine’s Day-themed snacks.
Students across campus were dressed for the occasion. Two groups raised funds for community organizations by offering special dress-up days. Dressed in holiday gear, the JA Cafeteria staff served special fare last week for both Mardi Gras and Valentine’s Day. Students and faculty were delighted by themed meals and extra special desserts.
