Graduation 2022

“The Bible is full of unlikely heroes, reluctant leaders, and unsuspecting saints who never knew they had a great gift until God called upon them to use it. Whatever gift He has blessed you with, I would challenge you to use it to serve others in His name.”

Valedictorian Sandon Guild posed this challenge to his fellow graduating seniors last Thursday night at Jackson Academy.

JA conducted graduation ceremonies in The Brickyard for the third year in a row, a new and favored tradition introduced during the pandemic. At 7 p.m., the ceremony opened with retiring Faculty Member Chris Tucker carrying the school banner onto the field for the very last time. Administrators, faculty members, and seniors followed, processing from the west end of the field to the east before taking their seats.

The 116 graduates and their guests received a welcome from salutatorian Regan Felder, a reflection from senior class representatives Caroline Crisler and Olivia Quin, and a challenge by valedictorian Sandon Guild. Sandon’s challenge helped students consider how they can use their gifts to glorify God. Their individual gifts give them the opportunity to serve others in a variety of ways.
