Athletic Director David Sykes announced that he has finalized the football staff assignments for the 2016-2017 school year. After seven years as junior high head football coach, Parker Harris will join the varsity staff as an offensive and defensive assistant. Mack Norwood will take over the leadership of the junior high football program. “We are so very fortunate to have these two men on our football staff at JA, and we look forward to their continued leadership and the positive impact that they have on our young men on a daily basis,” Sykes said.

Christmas with the Arts Celebrates Student Talent
Jackson Academy hosted its annual Christmas with the Arts celebration, bringing together students from across the visual and performing arts programs for an evening of festive performances. The Performing Arts Center lobby showcased artwork from Lower School students, including elf creations from second and third graders. Ten of these student-designed elves were brought to life on stage by JA Theatre students in a special performance that connected younger artists with the Upper School performers.

The bonds formed through Jackson Academy's Alpha and Omega buddy program don't end at graduation. This month, first graders put pencil to paper to reach out to someone who made their kindergarten year special—the seniors they were paired with last year, now navigating their first year of college.
