Jackson Academy Summer Camps have something for everyone, from rising sports or stage stars to future artists, scientists, and chefs. With more than 50 camps to choose from, there is fun to be had by ALL AGES! Camps are for RISING grades, so make sure to select the grade level appropriate for the 2026-2027 school year.
On November 11, 1919, Americans observed the first Armistice Day to honor those who served in World War I. Now known as Veterans Day, this special observance offers Americans the opportunity to express gratitude to all who have served our nation in uniform. Jackson Academy honored veterans through meaningful programs and activities that united students, faculty, and families in appreciation.
The spirit of community blossomed Tuesday evening as students, families, and friends gathered for the 2025 Jackson Academy Carnival. From 5 to 8 p.m., Raider Field on Sheffield Drive buzzed with excitement as attendees enjoyed a fresh lineup of activities alongside traditional favorites.
Jackson Academy’s youngest learners experienced the magic of storytelling on Friday when three theatre students, dressed in costume, visited K3 classrooms to read “Click, Clack, Boo: A Tricky Treat!” by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin.
Jackson Academy’s Preschool students discovered last week that the everyday heroes in our community are worth celebrating. During Community Helpers Week, Preschoolers engaged in fun, interactive activities, encountering along the way important people who keep our community safe and healthy. They learned about helping others with a positive attitude while meeting real-life heroes, including dentists, doctors, nurses, highway patrol officers, and firefighters.
“Every single day, I get to be the person I needed when I was in high school,” said Ann Boswell Carlson ’03. That deep understanding of the student experience is one of the invaluable advantages JA alumni bring to campus as teachers and coaches.
Jackson Academy recognized the 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year award recipients during a professional development day assembly held this spring. Each year, one teacher from each division is selected by their peers to receive this distinction.
Each spring, those familiar words open the door to a long-standing Jackson Academy tradition: the Beatrix Potter Tea Parties. Held in the Preschool library, this special event invites K4 and K5 students into the world of “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” with lemon tea, cookies, and carrots served as they listen to the classic story read by librarian Mimi Heard.
JA Preschool Moms enjoyed a morning filled with fun, laughter, and connection at the first Growing in Grace moms’ event in the Performing Arts Center. Nicolet Bell, JA mom and author of the podcast and book “Choosing Cheer, Experiencing the JOY of Jesus in the Everyday and Unimaginable,” inspired moms to seek joy in all circumstances.
Jackson Academy students learned famous quotes, read books, sang songs, and made crafts that celebrated the life and mission of Dr. Martin Luther King leading up to the January 20 day honoring his legacy.
