Jackson Academy alumnus Brad Nesbit returned to campus to speak to a fourth grade class about the dangers of smoking through the Tar Wars program. Tar Wars is a tobacco free education program designed to teach students about the long term consequences of tobacco use.

The families met in the Activities Building and enjoyed lunch. During the morning, students participated in some old fashioned style of relay events including wheelbarrow and potato sack races.

Each student reads about a famous person, then dresses in an outfit depicting their subject. They parade throughout the Lower School so the other students can join in on the fun.
The last Simulation Saturday planned for the 2014-15 school year at Jackson Academy is April 11. Students with gifted aptitudes from JA and other schools have the opportunity to delve into the world of creation and explore new ways of thinking, maximizing the application of knowledge. JA’s Little Dribblers performed at halftime of the varsity girls’ basketball game December 12. The Little Dribblers develop ball handling skills and hand-eye coordination through this activity offered during P.E., and they perform several times each basketball season.
