Tar Wars

Jackson Academy alumnus Brad Nesbit returned to campus to speak to a fourth grade class about the dangers of smoking through the Tar Wars program. Tar Wars is a tobacco free education program designed to teach students about the long term consequences of tobacco use.

County Fair

[slideshow_deploy id=’7072′] After reading the book Charlotte’s Web, third grade students invited their parents to a picnic with a County Fair theme from the story. The families met in the Activities Building and enjoyed lunch. During the morning, students participated in some old fashioned style of relay events including wheelbarrow and potato sack races.

Biography Day

[slideshow_deploy id=’6844′] From Elvis to Einstein, our third grade students came up with amazing costumes and props for Biography Day.   Each student reads about a famous person, then dresses in an outfit depicting their subject. They parade throughout the Lower School so the other students can join in on the fun.

Little Dribblers Develop Skills

JA’s Little Dribblers performed at halftime of the varsity girls’ basketball game December 12. The Little Dribblers develop ball handling skills and hand-eye coordination through this activity offered during P.E., and they perform several times each basketball season.
