Jackson Academy’s beloved Alpha & Omega program kicked off another year of meaningful connections this morning as seniors and kindergartners came together for their first meeting. Excitement filled the amphitheater as JA’s oldest students and those just beginning Lower School discovered their special buddy or buddies for the year ahead.
Each senior and kindergartner received matching pairs of colorful and crazy socks that served as their way to find their perfect buddy. From polka dots to stripes and rainbow patterns to silly characters, these fun socks created instant connections and smiles as pairs found each other across the amphitheater.

This cherished tradition continues Jackson Academy’s commitment to fostering cross-campus relationships that often last well beyond graduation. This program creates mentorship opportunities where seniors guide their younger buddies while also allowing the older students to reconnect with the wonder of childhood. Throughout the year, these special pairs will share reading time, enjoy snacks together, attend school events, and create memories that will be treasured by both buddies.
The Alpha & Omega program gives kindergartners confidence from engaging with older students, while allowing seniors to reflect on their own growth and prepare for their next chapter as young leaders. Today’s sock-matching event marked the launch of another year of laughter, friendship, and the bonds that make Jackson Academy’s community so special.
