On Wednesday, February 1 in the Learning Commons, two senior athletes indicated their intent to play collegiate sports. During the National Signing Day event, DeQuon Sterling signed to play football with Southwest Community College and Austin Ramey signed to play soccer at Dallas Baptist University.

College Basketball Coach Stan Jones Spends Homecoming Day With the Raiders

Former Florida State University and Jackson Academy basketball coach Stan Jones joined the Raiders for Homecoming 2026 in a series of events on October 9. JA’s head basketball coach from 1990 to 1995, Jones was in Jackson to be honored at a Thursday night roast at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum. He stayed through Friday to take part in Homecoming, starting with the 10:30 a.m. pep rally.

Lower School Family Night Brings Parents Into the Classroom

Current Lower School families filled campus last Tuesday for the Lower School Family Night. Parents followed their children through the halls, visiting classrooms, meeting teachers, and working on crafts together. Visitors stopped by the STEM lab, tried activities in the gym, and gathered in the courtyard. Being able to show parents what their children have been working on is an important part of the school year, and the evening gave students the chance to explain their projects in their own words. A huge thank you to the parents who were able to be there!

Homecoming week is here! Families can look forward to a week filled with themed dress days, class competitions, and plenty of Raider spirit before the week reaches its grand finale Friday night.
