Three JA band members have been honored with spots on the 2017 Mississippi Lion’s All-State Band, which travels internationally each summer for competition. Claire Ross, Alexander Schott, and Bryant Thaxton will join other musicians from across Mississippi as they represent our state and their school. Bryant earned first chair in tuba, Alex earned second chair in trombone and Claire earned third chair in dance. Congratulations! Community Helpers Week: A Preschool Adventure
Jackson Academy's Preschool students discovered last week that the everyday heroes in our community are worth celebrating. During Community Helpers Week, Preschoolers engaged in fun, interactive activities, encountering along the way important people who keep our community safe and healthy. They learned about helping others with a positive attitude while meeting real-life heroes, including dentists, doctors, nurses, highway patrol officers, and firefighters.

All families are invited to the morning Pep Rally with an informal Homecoming Court presentation and the "Under the Sea" Homecoming Parade that evening before the game.
