Coach Sykes Announces Coaching Staff Arrangements for 2016-17

Athletic Director David Sykes announced that he has finalized the football staff assignments for the 2016-2017 school year. After seven years as junior high head football coach, Parker Harris will join the varsity staff as an offensive and defensive assistant. Mack Norwood will take over the leadership of the junior high football program. “We are so very fortunate to have these two men on our football staff at JA, and we look forward to their continued leadership and the positive impact that they have on our young men on a daily basis,” Sykes said.

Little Dribblers Turn 40!

JA’s second graders spend time in physical education class developing fine motor skills, sequencing skills, self-confidence, and teamwork. Known collectively as the Little Dribblers, these hard-working students demonstrate what they have learned to a packed Raider Dome during halftime of the varsity girls basketball games. The Little Dribblers program continues as one of JA’s much-anticipated basketball season traditions.  It is fondly remembered, with Little Dribblers keeping their T-shirts and second-grader-sized basketballs throughout the years. Some Little Dribblers even remember their routines years after their performances.
