Students need the core foundation of knowledge as well as skills that will prepare them for 21st Century citizenship. Jackson Academy equips students for tomorrow—through forward-thinking learning—today.

These skills include creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and collaboration. While these skills are not new, they are in ever-increasing demand in a world that is more digital and more globally connected. Technology has evolved into a tool for fostering these 21st century skills.

Student Tech Team

We are proud to have several students as a part of our student tech team. This team of 6th-12th graders help serve as Apple geniuses at the bar. They help with repairs, troubleshooting, and a variety of other technology related issues on campus.

Meet Our Technology Team

Lori Snider
Director of Technology

Since 2015, Lori Snider has served in the Technology Department at Jackson Academy, where she leads with a passion for meaningful technology integration in the classroom. A Belhaven University graduate, Lori began her career at Apple in 2008 before joining JA. She is proud to help sustain the school’s recognition as an Apple Distinguished School and is honored to support its continued innovation.

Josh Hinkle
Director of Operations and Infrastructure

Josh Hinkle ’15 is the Director of Operations and Infrastructure and Director of Raider Network at Jackson Academy, joining the team in 2019. He is attended Ole Miss, where he studied Integrated Marketing and Communications.

Kyle Nalley
Technology Systems and Media Coordinator

Kyle Nalley joined JA as the Technology Systems and Media Coordinator in 2025.
