The spirit of community blossomed Tuesday evening as students, families, and friends gathered for the 2025 Jackson Academy Carnival. From 5 to 8 p.m., Raider Field on Sheffield Drive buzzed with excitement as attendees enjoyed a fresh lineup of activities alongside traditional favorites.
The festivities began earlier in the day as classes visited the Bake Sale during morning break, choosing from homemade treats. Younger students also toured the Pumpkin Decorating Contest display outside the Administration Building, marveling at the creative characters their Preschool and Lower School peers had imagined.
As the sun set, the Brickyard came alive with vibrant colors and laughter. Attendees enjoyed thrilling rides, classic carnival games testing skill and luck, and cuisine from an array of food trucks and vendors. The Costume Contest showcased creativity across all age groups, with K3 through fifth graders earning trophies in categories including Cutest, Scariest, Funniest, Most Creative, Best Group, and Best Overall. The variety ensured something for everyone.
The carnival continues as a beloved tradition in the metro area, recently recognized once again as a recipient of the Community’s Choice Award for Best Festival. Generations have gathered for this event, making it one of the longest-running and most cherished festivals in the region.
A heartfelt thank you to the Jackson Academy Association for organizing another successful carnival.
