Hundreds of popular children’s books have been written about “Things That Go” for fascinated young learners. JA teachers brought “Things That Go” out of the books and into real life for JA Preschool students.
Real-life “Things That Go” included:
- Motorcycles.
- A firetruck.
- JA’s Raider Network truck.
- A school bus that Upper School students ride to and from Raider Park.
Observing movement and understanding how objects move are essential parts of learning. Preschool students gained experience understanding movement with a whole week of activities for K2 and selected activities for K3 and K4.
“K2 had so many exciting things every day last week. The expressions on their faces were priceless,” said Preschool K2 Teacher Chloe Hudson. “Their curiosity while exploring the different ‘Things That Go’ was so wonderful to watch. The students were very engaged and ready to explore more ‘Things That Go.’ They learned about the different things that go into different water transportation, air transportation, and everything in between. It was a great week.”
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the community helpers, including the police and fire departments, and JA’s Raider Network team and bus drivers. Their invaluable assistance gave our Preschool students hands-on experience with “Things That Go.”
