Jackson Academy’s Equestrian Team will participate in four IEA shows this season at Winterview Farm.
The dates for these shows are as follows:
- September 21 Hosted by Winterview
- September 22 Hosted by St. James
- November 2 Hosted by St. Andrews
- November 3 Hosted by Jackson Academy
Riders participate in a fifth show for regional qualifying points in Alabama, where they can qualify to advance to Regional, Zone, and National competition. The dates of these shows are to be determined.
At the show this past weekend, the team won in numerous categories:
Beginner Walk/Trot
Adeleine Valone -1st and 2nd
Vivie Howard – 3rd
Cate Covault – 5th and 6th
Kerrigan Holmes – 3rd
Future Novice X-Rails and Flat
Lorelei Bonds – two 1st place, 3rd, and 5th
Selah Jones – 2nd and 5th
Varsity Open 2.6 and Flat
Sara Brown – 5th and 6th
Caroline Johnston – two 3rd and 4th
Ellen Morgan – two 1st, two 2nd, and High Point Varsity Open Rider for both shows
