Earning four state championship titles, four state runner up awards, and other notable recognition created excitement for JA Raiders Wednesday at the MAIS Spirit Competition. The event was held at the Mississippi Coliseum.
Accents won the State Championship in the Varsity Large Kick Division. They also finished as the State Runner Up in the Varsity Large Pom Division.
Varsity Cheerleaders won the State Championship in the Varsity Large Tumbling Division. They also finished as the State Runner Up in the Varsity Large Game Day Division.
Steppers won the State Championship in the JV Large Kick Division. They also finished as the State Runner Up in the JV Large Pom Division.
JV Cheerleaders finished as State Runner Up in the Junior Varsity Large Tumbling Division. They also finished in Third Place in the JV Large Game Day Division.
Raider Man captured the Mascot State Championship for the second straight year. Congrats to Willis Thigpen.
Varsity Cheerleaders Kendall Edmonson, Liles Williams, Farrah Wilson, Addison Tatum, and Abbi Mims were named to the MAIS All-Star Spirit Squad earlier and were officially recognized at the competition.
