The opportunities for the development of communication arts abound at all ages at Jackson Academy. Through these programs of oral communication, students learn problem solving as well as critical and analytical thinking skills. Students learn to speak more articulately and persuasively as they improve their communication skills.

These skills are developed in all divisions through daily classroom interaction. At the middle and upper school levels, more formal instruction is offered in presentation opportunities and special courses. The Communicative Arts give JA students the skills to think and communicate orally in a progressively technology driven era.

Interactive Media:
Jackson Academy students in grades tenth–twelfth can choose Interactive Media as an elective. This class explores the basics of online journalism, video shooting and editing, and interview techniques. The class forms teams to produce weekly broadcasts, among other projects.
