Still Standing – Dwight Owens Speaks

Owens2ndInspirational speaker Dwight Owens told the story of his recovery from being horrifically injured by a drunk driver to our middle and upper school students. Owens challenged students to recognize the potential damage caused by using drugs or alcohol, including citing how his life was forever changed due to irresponsible drinking. Biography Day

From Elvis to Einstein, our third grade students came up with amazing costumes and props for Biography Day.   Each student reads about a famous person, then dresses in an outfit depicting their subject. They parade throughout the Lower School so the other students can join in on the fun.

Fiesta Day

Sixth grade students enjoyed a Mexican Fiesta Day where they experienced a taste of Mexican culture. The students made colorful paper flowers, ate chips and salsa, and did the Mexican hat dance.  This was a fun way to reinforce some of the things they are studying in Social Studies.
