Tuesday Raider Guidelines

The Tuesday Raider is a weekly newsletter that is emailed to students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Jackson Academy. It serves as the primary method of distributing information about campus news, events, and deadlines.

General Practices

  1. The Tuesday Raider does not accept advertising.
  2. Stories feature events and activities directly related to JA. This includes stories about students who have been nominated by JA and received recognition such as Leadership Jackson members or Lott Leadership attendees.
  3. In general, a story is run one time. Occasionally, an event is announced in advance, and a story is run later that includes details of the actual event. Major events such as the JA Carnival may be run multiple times.
  4. For athletic teams and competition groups such as show choirs and band, a schedule will be run before its season if provided to the Marketing and Communications Department. Each group will also be recognized at the end of its season with a feature highlighting accomplishments and awards, if the information is provided. Exceptions may be made when a group wins a championship at a regional level and a national or overall final championship event.
