Student Cards Brighten Veterans Day

Interact Club leaders organized a campaign in the Middle School to create cheerful cards for the veterans at the VA Hospital. The students made over 200 handmade cards. The cards were delivered to the hospital, and enough were made to place a card in the chair of each veteran before today’s Veterans Day program.

Students Hoping for a Repeat of the JA Retreat Next Year

November 12th, 2014

Retreat-WebA group of 186 individuals attended the student-organized Christian weekend revival held at JA in October for students in seventh through twelfth grades. The weekend focused on “purpose” with sessions led by David Hederman and worship time led by Rich Price in the PAC. In host homes, senior class members facilitated discussions that expanded on the retreat topic. Participants also enjoyed games and sports.

Congratulations to all the students inducted into the Jackson Academy Chapter of the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools and the National Junior Honor Society of Secondary Schools. They join members inducted last year to form the JA chapters of these honoraries.
