White Out the Stands Friday


JA’s varsity football playoff game is this Friday, November 4 with JP in Flowood. To show support for our team, the Spirit Committee is planning to WHITE OUT the stands on Friday night. Wear your WE ARE JA T-shirt or other white clothing. Go Raiders!

Cheer and Accents Earn Spirit Titles

Congratulations to the Accents and varsity cheerleaders! Each team won first place in the MAIS Spirit Competition at the Clyde Muse Center on the Hinds Community College Rankin Campus in Pearl this past Wednesday.

Pat Taylor Honored by SAIS

Jackson Academy’s headmaster has been named the 2016 recipient of the Southern Association of Independent Schools Distinguished Service Award. The honor was presented to Dr. Taylor Sunday at a banquet during the SAIS Conference. This award is given by the SAIS Board of Trustees to a head of school or senior administrator in recognition of a long and distinguished career in independent education, of which 25 years or more has been spent in service to one school, as well as service to SAIS.
The Distinguished Service Award was inspired by the life and work of Dale Regan, who devoted 34 years of her life to the Episcopal School of Jacksonville, and who, posthumously, was the award’s first recipient in 2012.
