Alpha and Omega Cheer for Teachers and Students

Seniors and kindergarten students in Alpha and Omega attended the faculty-student basketball games together this past week. They cheered and watched games between female faculty and Upper School girls and male faculty and Upper School boys. The games were competitive and close in score, which made the event all the more exciting! Ultimately, getting to spend time with their Alpha and Omega friend was the most fun of all.

Lady Raiders Basketball Team Receives SUPER 10 Ranking

The varsity Lady Raiders were listed in the state’s Super 10 for girls basketball teams Saturday in the Clarion-Ledger. Jackson Academy is the only independent school in the listing. The Lady Raiders currently lead the MAIS AAAA rankings. The boys team is currently ranked second in MAIS AAAA.

70 Riders Compete in JA’s Horse Show
December 1st, 2016
The first Jackson Academy horse show, held November 12-13 at the Canton Multipurpose and Equine Center in Canton, was a huge success. Eight teams from five states took part in the show, with 70 riders and 35 horses. There were 164 rides on Saturday and 164 rides on Sunday. Jackson Academy was Reserve Champion both days. Congratulations to our equestrian team and leaders!
JA Nabs Two Dandy Dozen Nods

Congratulations to senior Conley Chinn and junior Michael Barber for being named to the Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen for the upcoming basketball season. In addition, senior Lauran Sheriff was named to the list “40 Other Seniors to Watch” and junior Deja Bradford was listed as one of “20 Underclassmen to Watch.” Congratulations, all!
