4th Annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

A 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be played on Friday, April 18th (Good Friday) at Jackson Academy. Playing games of 3 on 3 is a great way for kids to learn how to move without the ball while improving individual basketball skills. Games will start at 9:00 a.m. Boys and girls in grades 4 – 9 can participate (JA Students Only).

Grades 4 – 6 will be randomly chosen to determine team members. Grades 7 – 9 are encouraged to form their own teams. Champion T-shirts will be awarded for each division. For questions contact Ronnie Rogers at 601.540.8041 or e-mail him at rrogers@jacksonacademy.org

Coach Ball Honored by Clarion Ledger

April 6th, 2014

Congratulations to Coach Bill Ball for Top 3 for the Clarion Ledger Metro Area Coach of the Year!!!

Write-Up by Clarion Ledger: Ball guided Jackson Academy to its first Academy AAA-I division title since 2006-07 and first AAA championship since 2004. Even with the Raiders stumbling in the MAIS Overall semifinals, the feat was noteworthy enough for the veteran coach to be in the conversation for Coach of the Year.

Tuesday’s Game Moved to Monday

April 6th, 2014

Tuesday’s (04.08.14) Varsity Game between Jackson Academy and Magnolia Heights has been moved to Monday at 6pm at Raider Field due to potential inclement weather on Tuesday. The B-Team Game has been cancelled.

JA Varsity Tennis defeats Prep

April 1st, 2014

JA defeated Jackson Prep 5-4 Tuesday in Varsity Tennis in Flowood and improved to 5-0 on the season.

JA swept Girls Singles (Meredith Roberts & Tori Roberts), Boys Doubles (Cragon-Morgan & Scott-McLemore) and won Mixed Doubles (Lassetter-Hill) for the five points.
