Lady Raiders Soccer Awards

Receiving individual awards at the varsity banquet were: (from left) Meg Rice, Sarah Allen Bowman, Jessi Cooper, Elizabeth Scott, and Annie Edgecombe.

Congrats to the Lady Raiders varsity and junior high soccer teams for their successful seasons. The varsity Lady Raiders completed their season with a 7-2 record in conference play and a 9-8-3 record. The team advanced to the MAIS Quarterfinals where the season ended in a shootout with PCS. The Lady Raiders were runners up in the North AAA Conference and had three All-Stars and five All Conference players.

Swim Team – MAIS CHAMPIONS!!!

Congratulations to JA swimmers for breaking MAIS records on individual swims and for winning the Overall Trophy for the meet.

 

MAIS records broken by JA students:

  • Isabella Conn—third grade—broke MAIS record in the 25-yard breaststroke with a time of 18.77 seconds
  • Jackson Conn—sixth grade—broke MAIS records in both the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 32.63 seconds and the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 35.09 seconds
  • Malon Stratton—tenth grade—broke MAIS record in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 28.47 seconds

The Overall Trophy was presented to Athletic Director David Sykes during last week’s pep rally, and swimmers from all grades came down to the court to be recognized as a team.
