Head of School Jack Milne stepped back into his role as history teacher last week when he brought to fourth grade classes a 227-year-old deed signed by Thomas McKean, who also signed the Declaration of Independence.
Senior Max Harmon signed to play football at the University of West Alabama, a member of the Gulf South Conference in NCAA Division II. Francie LeDuff indicated her intent to play college sports, signing with Belhaven University for cross country and track.
The entire fourth grade is on the hunt for a job, and they’ve all applied to the same place: Kathy’s Candy Corner. In January, with help from Lower School Counselor Kathy Sheffield, the students built their applications for a position that recently opened at the fictional store.
Dissection just got a lot cleaner. Instead of pinning a formaldehyde-soaked frog to a dissection pan, students in Cara Pridmore’s sixth grade science classes simply downloaded an application to their iPad.
