Lower School K3, K4, and K5

We take advantage of the teachable moments that happen every day — opportunities to help your child grow, learn, and love. Kindergarten is just the beginning.

The academic exploration and play in the JA kindergarten years will instill in your child the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Through personal attention and a thoughtful academic curriculum, we are committed to the intellectual, creative, social, emotional, and physical growth of your child.

Your child will explore and expand his or her knowledge of the world, all enhanced by an outstanding introduction to art, music, and libraries. Through hands-on activities, we’ll develop perceptual motor skills, strengthening the link between moving and learning.

In the end, we will give your child an excellent jump-start in reading, writing, listening, and speaking — all in an environment where children feel cared for and safe.

K3, K4, and K5 Highlights

Engaging and imaginative, our programs will accelerate your child’s natural curiosity. We incorporate visual, auditory and tactile experiences to help gain a deeper understanding of the world. By focusing on what really matters, we help build open hearts and minds.

At Lower School, your child will:

Begin each day with three things — a Bible story, the Pledge of Allegiance, and prayer.

Enjoy snacks and socializing during Tea Party break time.

Integrate light use of iPad games in K4 and K5 to practice concepts of shapes, letters, counting, colors, and more.

Cook to create a fun and tasty way to try out reading and math skills.

Gain exposure to the idea of language and global diversity

Channel natural energy into the refinement of perception and coordination abilities through physical education.
